Talented and versatile actress Parineeti Chopra, who will be seen playing the role Amarjot Sing in Amar Singh Chamkila, said she got sing and act in the movie helmed by Imtiaz Ali, now she is spoilt for life. 
 
Parineeti Chopra along with Diljit Dosanjh, Imtiaz Ali and AR Rahman were interacting with media during the trailer launch of Amar Singh Chamkila. 
 
When asked about her experience of working with Imtiaz Ali, actress Parineeti said, “I’d come into the movies and I had made a list of the directors I wanted to work with, Imtiaz Ali’s name was on the top of this list, and I thought he’d never work with me ever, but I got to work in his film, plus I got to sing in it as well, I am a fan of this experience, now I am spoilt for life.”
 
Amar Singh Chamkila, a biographical drama film based on the life of musician Amar Singh Chamkila. It is directed and co-produced by Imtiaz Ali. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role, with Parineeti Chopra as his wife. 
 
The film chronicles the life of Chamkila, a humble singer, whose brash lyrics ignite fame and fury across Punjab as he grapples with soaring success and brutal criticism before his untimely death.
 
The soundtrack is composed by A. R. Rahman. It is set to premiere on Netflix on 12 April 2024.
